Crafts fish with children: three great craft ideas
Let's start with the colorful residents of the underwater world. Sea creatures are available in so many different types that countless opportunities to shape them. When small children tinker fish, finger colors and construction paper are usually sufficient. If you tinker fish with children who are a bit older, there are of course more variants to choose from.
We give you three great craft ideas that are becoming increasingly demanding:
Fish made of construction paper and finger paint
For the little ones among the artists, sea stalls made of construction paper and finger colors are recommended. To do this, put the following material to the side:
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Finger -colored
- Thread cords
- Cut out simple fish shapes, jellyfish and squid from the paper.
- Now let your child make the animals colorful with the finger -colored. The front and the back should be nice and colorful. After drying, put a black fineliner at hand and record a few dandruff or the suction cups of the octopuses. You can stick your eyes with the help of white paper.
- Now punch a small hole in the middle and carry out the thread cords. Now we already have a nice selection of small fish and other animals for the window aquarium to hang up.

Fish handicrafts from chenilled wire
Delphins can be designed wonderfully from the flexible chenille wire. Also like in very different colors. In this way, the aquarium receives a colorful note. For this purpose, the handicraft wire is simply bent into the desired shape and placed on top of each other and fixed. This creates very different fish.

Colorful ballfish with crochet beads
A little more complex, but all the more colorful and more unique, fish can be tinkered with crochet beads. For this project we need cardboard (also paper plates), crochet beads in all conceivable colors, thread cords and a needle.
- First, a basic shape is cut from the cardboard, which looks similar to a spherical fish. A beautiful round belly, fins and a head.
- First the cardboard is designed with a little color. It is best to grab light colors and use the highest two different colors. Because the focus is on the crochet beads.
- After drying, the colorful crochet beads are finally used. These are sewn nicely next to each other on the stomach. Simply thread the cardboard with a long cord (may also be a colorful thread cord) and the needle through the cardboard and continue until the entire belly is adorned with colorful pearls.
Mussels, corals, sea plants - handicrafts for the underwater world
Crafting fish is one thing. But to add the summer decoration under the motto underwater world, we are still devoting ourselves to the flora, the mussels and the corals. So they gradually create a whole reef together with the children.
For the mussels we only need some cardboard and bright noscheli
Cut out the typical shape of the shell out of the cardboard and then wrap the cloth over it. Bright colors, such as white, beige or cream, are ideal. Fix a little and record thin lines with a fabric pen, so that the well -known design of the shell is created. The corals are wonderfully colorful and can be created with plug -in mass, handicraft wire, crepe paper and Nuscheli.
A separate flower box or flowerpot serves as the basis. The plug is given in these. It is best to place blue Nuscheli (also in two different shades of color) and attach it to a few pins. Now put the handicraft wire close to each other in small groups. The wire is then wrapped with crepe paper.
To beautify you can add thin thread cords to set an accent. Aquatic plants are of course also part of our handicraft ideas. The easiest way to do it is with the help of crepe paper. If you use different, green colors as possible, this decoration looks a little more lively.
Finished the window aquarium as a summer decoration
Crafting with children was again a joyful experience. Last but not least, it is now time to arrange individual elements nicely. First attach a light blue Nuscheli to the window. In the lower area, a darker blue has a more intensive effect and sets itself down. As a surface for the window picture, put bright Nuscheli on the windowsill. Then place the coral pot. All around, our mussels find a suitable place and the bullet fish also feels very comfortable here.
All the small fish, jellyfish and octopus of tinkering are now attached to different heights. This gives you the impression that you slide through the water. The water plants made of crepe paper attach them in the same way. In order to give all of this a colored accent, they thread many, colorful pearl chains with their children.
Switch between colored wooden beads and smooth lentil beads. Place the chains on the bottom of the sea or hang up one or the other between the fish. A great summer decoration is ready. The attractive handicraft ideas can be expanded and supplemented in a very different way.
If you don't want to design a window aquarium, use these craft ideas for a large collage. With a little manual skill, a stable frame made of wooden strips can be produced and a thin wooden panel can be attached as a back wall. For this you can not only swing fish with the children, but also swing your brushes and immortalize filigree subtleties on the back wall.
A terrific project that is often not possible in one day. But the summer is long and the holiday season is wonderful to get creative with children. And now a lot of fun!
