" What is included in the excursion? "
Outings with children are a welcome change for the little ones. As soon as the first warm rays of sunshine shine from the sky, families are drawn back to the playgrounds. You can even plan a trip there with a baby.
Everything is so exciting and thrilling!
At first, your little sunshine will curiously follow the hustle and bustle on the playground. It listens to the cheerful calls of the children. The first visit to a baby playground is something very special. Of course, there is no general answer as to when the ideal time has come. This depends on the child itself and also on the attitude of the parents. Some already take an infant with them. Others wait until their little one is able to sit and stand a little.
It is certainly advantageous if your little angel is active and can play and explore the many wonderful things on its own.
What should I take to the baby playground?
Outings with very young children require a little organization in advance. Over time, however, routine sets in. The diaper bag as a minimum should of course not be missing. A few fresh diapers to change and wet wipes should always be with you. A few changes of clothes should also go in the changing bag, which also contains the diaper bag. Sometimes it happens quicker than you think and you need a fresh T-shirt or completely new clothes.
Hygiene in the playground includes wet wipes and ideally a bottle of fresh water. Then you can quickly rinse your mouth, wash your hands or clean your face. Even in the playground, a little one will want to explore things with their mouth.
For the little hunger in between: Snacks and drinks
The ideal time for outings with children is after lunch. Pack your bag straight after breakfast and get out into the fresh air. Nevertheless, small snacks and drinks should not be forgotten. The little hunger pangs will come in any case.
Cut up some fruit and vegetables and take cookies or waffles with you in a smart lunch box. It doesn't take much effort and will satisfy your little adventurer at first. When it comes to drinks, it's best to choose unsweetened tea or fruit spritzers. If your baby is still having milk, it is better to give it before or after the outing.
Safety first: Don't forget sunscreen and insect repellent!
Despite all the anticipation, you must not forget a few safety precautions. On sunny days, and this includes the first warm days of spring, make sure you have sufficient sun protection. Apply sunscreen lotion to your child's face and exposed areas of skin. Headgear in the form of a hat with a wide brim is ideal. This protects the sensitive neck very well.
Apply sun and insect repellent to your baby
In addition to sun protection, insect protection is also important. There are lotions that you can apply to even the smallest children without damaging their sensitive skin. Mosquitoes and biting flies can be a real nuisance, especially in summer.
Are there special playgrounds for the little ones?
The requirements for children's playgrounds depend on the age of the children. The older the children get, the more demanding they can be. The little ones, on the other hand, have completely different ideas of a place where they can play and run around. This is why larger playgrounds are divided according to age.
Girls on a climbing frame
As parents, you will find climbing frames and play equipment for the little ones and equally appealing options for older children. An ideal combination for siblings and a perfect destination for outings with children.
Why is a trip to the playground important for development?
In the first few weeks, little ones hardly come into contact with other people or even peers. This is not yet important, as these weeks initially serve to strengthen the bond between child and mother. Around the sixth month of life, however, it is time for your little one to come into contact with other babies. You can do this by taking your baby swimming or joining a toddler group. Last but not least, a trip to the baby playground is another option. Little ones can only learn emotional and social skills if they discover and understand things on their own and learn to play with others.
Small children playing in the sandpit
It is not uncommon for the first small conflicts to arise in the sandpit. The focus is on sand shovels and sand molds. Now it is important to understand that other children are also allowed to play with them and that playing together is sometimes much more fun. Your baby will also be confronted with their first small defeats. For example, when another child breaks the sand cake.
This is all part of the learning process.
Which play equipment is suitable for a baby?
As soon as your little sunshine can sit safely, the slide will become their favorite piece of play equipment. Playgrounds often offer smaller slides for the little ones. If these are not available, you are welcome to become a child yourself. Sliding together is at least as much fun for you and gives your child safety for the first few times on the slide.

Motor skills walls are also available. These are low enough so that even the youngest children can play with them. Your child can reach for the various elements with their tiny hands and push or pull them. Small climbing towers with a low height are usually suitable for children aged 12 months and over.
It is important that you as parents do not let the child climb alone, but stand by their side to hold them or help them to get a secure footing.
Many parents really blossom once the children are old enough for the playground. Without having to explain yourself, you can now climb and slide to your heart's content. All for the child's own good, of course.
How can you keep a baby busy who can't sit or stand yet?
There's nothing to stop you taking a diapered baby to the playground, even if it's only on the crawling blanket lying on the play mat. The new surroundings and the many new impressions are adventure enough. Take a few small toys with you, such as the grasping toy or a push toy with you. Your little sunshine will love to play and keep a watchful eye on the colorful goings-on.
Rest breaks on the cuddly blanket
Anyone who bravely explores their new surroundings, tirelessly moves their little legs and makes their first attempts at climbing on the baby climbing frame will sooner or later get a little tired. You should always have a crawling blanket with you for a trip to the baby playground. A little rest on the blanket is definitely good for the baby. In the shade of a tree, it can gather new strength.
Don't forget to pack the pacifier. It will certainly be needed now. A little breather won't do you any harm either.
Despite all the fun in the playground, as parents you are of course constantly required to keep a watchful eye on your child. After all, they are not yet old enough to be completely independent on the playground.
